China says it will not deviate from its chosen path of opening up and mutually co-operating with all countries of the world in order to have a better world future.
Premier Li Qiang said this while officially opening the 7th edition of the China International Import and Export (CIIE) fair at the National Exhibition and Conversation Centre in Shanghai this Tuesday.
The exhibition will end on the 10th of this month and is running under the theme: New Era, Shared Future.
The CIIE is a major initiative personally planned, proposed, deployed and advocated by President Xi Jingping.
Premier Li said China has put forward ten partnership actions for China and Africa to jointly advance modernisation and further synergised high quality Belt and Road Initiative co-operation with development strategies of other countries.
He revealed that this is an effort to ensure that the gains of development can be shared by people from more countries and regions.
Premier Li added that China is ready to work with everyone to enhance co-ordination and collaboration with international economic organisations.
He said China will take the lead in exploring the possibility of implementing negotiating outcomes in areas such as the World Trade Organisation’s investment facilitation for development agreement and E-commerce agreement so as to contribute greater strength to global development and the wellbeing of humanity.
Since its inauguration session in 2018, the CIIE has been consistently serving as a platform for four key functions of international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange and open co-operation.
More than 150 countries, regions and international organisations are taking part in the expo.
