THE Chevrons had a bad start in the T20 series after losing the first match to Pakistan by 57 runs in a match played at Queens sports Club in Bulawayo.

After surrendering two ODIs to Pakistan, all eyes were on the chevrons to turn the tables and come closer to Pakistan in a T20 tournament.

The hosts however failed to punch above their weight as they lost by 57 runs to Pakistan.

Zimbabwe’s batting woes continued as the visitors clinched the match by 57 runs to carry a one nil lead in the series.

The chevrons looked well on course to chase a modest 165/4 by Pakistan, but a batting collapse hindered the progress.

Pakistan had managed 165/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

The fifth wicket partnership with Irfan khan was solid, carrying the day for Pakistan.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.

The two sides return for the second T20 series on Tuesday at the same venue.
