Brand Zimbabwe receives major boost

LEADING South African entertainment and media personalities including Sello Maake ka Ncube, Pearl Thusi and Sonia Mbele are in Zimbabwe on a familiarisation tour organised by African Chrome Fields.

The mining giant, which is also a progressive player in the sector with environmental sustainability in mind, aims to market destination Zimbabwe through the initiative.

Tour organiser Mr Conrad Mwanza said the visit is an enchanting peek into the beauty and endless opportunities available in Zimbabwe.

The tour kicked off in Victoria Falls this Monday and will filter into different parts of the country.

The team includes journalists from SADC countries such as Mozambique, Eswatini, South Africa and Lesotho.

Ncube is one of the most decorated actors and filmmakers of his generation who has continued to excel beyond entertainment.

Thusi is a leading entertainment mogul who starred in the first Netflix Original African Series as Queen Sono, among other accomplishments.

The True Zimbabwe Tour is encompassing points of interest in Victoria Falls, Harare and incorporating tourism, mining and agricultural sectors.

This Monday, the team sampled best restaurants in the resort city before enjoying a game drive this Tuesday morning.

The delegates will be in Harare this Wednesday where they will attend a welcoming dinner hosted by the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa on the same day.
