ZIMBABWE’S pace spearhead Blessing Muzarabani has been named in the Team of the Tournament at the just-ended ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, after an outstanding campaign with the ball for the Chevrons.
The towering fast bowler claimed 13 wickets in six matches, playing a key role in Zimbabwe’s impressive run to the Super Eight stage.
Muzarabani produced one of the standout spells of the tournament when he took four wickets for 17 runs against Australia, helping Zimbabwe register a memorable victory and finish top of Group B in the opening phase.
The Team of the Tournament is dominated by champions India, who have four players, among them Player of the Tournament Sanju Samson, explosive opener Ishan Kishan, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
Other players selected include Pakistan’s record-breaking opener Sahibzada Farhan, South Africa captain Aiden Markram, England all-rounder Will Jacks, West Indies’ Jason Holder, South African pacer Lungi Ngidi, and England spinner Adil Rashid.
