THE “prodigal son” of Jiti music is back. Popular musician, Baba Harare, born Braveman Chizvino, has officially returned to the energetic Jiti sound that first made him a household name, sending fans into a frenzy across the country.
After a short gospel stint under the name King David where he produced hits such as Sukai alongside Takesure Zamar, Baba Harare has decided to hang up the collar and pick up the guitar once more for the dancefloor.
Announcing the big comeback on his social media pages, the The Reason Why hitmaker teased of a sizzling collaboration with Gemma Griffiths, a move already setting the entertainment scene abuzz.
To seal the return, Baba Harare is currently working on a brand-new Jiti album and is set to headline the highly anticipated Doek and Slay concert on 14 December in Harare. Fans say the stage will be on fire as the man behind chart-toppers like Guzuzu and Ramba Wakadzvanya reclaims his throne.
For many loyal supporters, his gospel adventure was “just a detour.” Social media timelines have been flooded with excitement.
Now, all eyes are on how he will blend his gospel experience with the trademark sound that turned him into a superstar. One thing is certain, Jiti is about to take centre stage once again.
