The Air Force of Zimbabwe has described the late senior officer, Air Commodore Pio Pasipamire Maketo as a good leader of the force.
In a statement, Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) Commander, Air Marshal Elson Moyo said, ”The force will forever remain indebted to the good and exemplary leadership of Air Commodore Maketo during his service.”
He added that, ”His death will remain unbearable to the organisation and the Maketo family.”
Air Commodore Maketo, who was Commander of Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo Air Force Base, died in a road traffic accident along the Harare Bulawayo Highway in Chegutu on Saturday the 7th of January.
A funeral parade will be held this Wednesday at Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo Airforce base and burial arrangements will be provided in due course.
