ARCHBISHOP Paul Mwazha, the revered founder and leader of the African Apostolic Church VaApostora veAfrica, who passed away on Thursday, has been declared a national hero.
The announcement was made by the Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Mr Nick Mangwana, who wrote on his official X handle that President Emmerson Mnangagwa had conferred the honour in recognition of Archbishop Mwazha’s lifelong spiritual leadership and contribution to national unity.
Mr Mangwana also indicated that burial arrangements will be announced in due course and will be guided by the Mwazha family.
