A three-month-old baby has been reported missing in Banket, Mashonaland West Province, prompting the Zimbabwe Republic Police to appeal for information that may assist in locating the infant.
In a statement, Mashonaland West Police spokesperson, Inspector Ian Kohwera, confirmed that the baby went missing on Sunday from House Number 753, Magamba Way, in Banket.
Circumstances are that the child’s mother was approached by an unknown woman who claimed that she had seen her husband with another woman somewhere in the same area.
The child’s mother reportedly left her three-month-old baby and another three-year-old child at home as she sought more information.
After failing to locate her husband at the alleged location, she proceeded to his workplace, where she found him, and the couple returned home only to discover that the three-month-old baby was missing.
