ZIMBABWE’s embassy in the United Arab Emirates has urged nationals to remain calm, exercise caution and minimise non-essential movements.
In a statement, the Embassy advised all Zimbabwean nationals to continue following official safety guidelines and advisories being issued from time to time by authorities of the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
This comes as conflict in the Middle East enters day four after the United States of America and Israel attacked Iran on Saturday, killing its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has been responding to the aggression by attacking US and Israel assets in the Gulf.
Late Monday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world’s oil shipping passes, is now “closed” and warns any vessels attempting to pass through will be attacked.
