Zimbabwe to face Netherlands and Oman in T20 World Cup warm-up matches

ZIMBABWE will face the Netherlands and Oman in a pair of warm-up matches as the Chevrons intensify preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The national side is scheduled to take on the Netherlands on Tuesday before meeting Oman on Thursday, as part of final build-up fixtures ahead of the global tournament, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

The matches are expected to provide valuable match practice, particularly in conditions similar to those anticipated in Sri Lanka, where humid weather and spin-friendly surfaces are likely to play a significant role.

For the technical team, the warm-up fixtures will also serve as an opportunity to fine-tune combinations, assess player form and sharpen tactical plans ahead of the tournament proper.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup gets underway on February 7 and runs until March 8, with matches spread across venues in India and Sri Lanka.
