ZANU-PF First Secretary and President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa, has urged party members to remain actively engaged in party activities, particularly at cell level in urban areas, villages and farms, describing the cell structure as the foundation of the party’s organisation.
President Mnangagwa made the remarks after personally leading the party’s national cell verification exercise at Dambudzo One Cell, Precabe Farm, in Kwekwe.
He said the cell remains the most critical structure in ensuring unity, mobilisation and effective communication within ZANU-PF, noting that sustained grassroots participation is central to the party’s strength and longevity.
The verification exercise saw President Mnangagwa participate alongside ordinary party members, reinforcing what party officials described as a culture of servant leadership.
Cell chairperson, Cde Siziba, welcomed the President’s involvement, saying it demonstrated humility and commitment to grassroots engagement.
The national cell verification programme was introduced ahead of the 2023 general elections as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots structures, improve membership records and enhance voter mobilisation.
ZANU-PF officials say the exercise continues to play a key role in consolidating the party’s presence at community level and reinforcing organisational discipline.
