THE The ZANU PF leadership in Mashonaland West has issued a firm warning against divisive tendencies, urging party members to uphold unity, discipline and adherence to established protocols as the ruling party intensifies its political programmes.

The call was made during the ZANU PF Mashonaland West Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting held in Chinhoyi on Saturday, where senior party officials underscored the need for cohesion amid ongoing mobilisation efforts.

Addressing the meeting, Politburo member Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi said internal divisions posed a direct threat to the party’s collective strength and revolutionary mandate.

“The party cannot tolerate any form of factionalism or conduct that divides our membership. Unity is the foundation of our strength, and every cadre must understand that personal interests can never be placed above the party. Those promoting divisions are working against the revolution and will be dealt with accordingly.”

Cde Ziyambi also briefed members on Resolution Number One, reiterating that it remains the official position of the party and is anchored on continuity of national development.

“Resolution Number One, as the official party position, is about continuity of national development and ensuring that President Emmerson Mnangagwa is given adequate time to fully implement and see through the attainment of Vision 2030. The party has taken a clear position on this matter, and what remains now are the due processes, which are being finalised to ensure that the resolution is properly operationalised in line with the national constitution.”

ZANU PF Mashonaland West Provincial Chairperson Cde Mary Mliswa Chikoka echoed the call for unity, urging party structures to close ranks and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming Chegutu West Ward 1 by-election.

“This is the time for unity and hard work. As we prepare for the Chegutu West Ward 1 by-election, we must mobilise as one united party. Victory comes when structures are functional, members are united, and everyone plays their role.”

The party leadership has further urged members to check and verify their cell membership, saying accurate records are critical for effective mobilisation and strengthening party structures ahead of upcoming electoral processes.
