Herentals Queens eye fourth consecutive Women Premier Soccer League title

DEFENDING champions, Herentals Queens, cruised to the top of the Women Premier Soccer League table after yet another fruitful weekend during which they flexed their muscle.

With four matches left before the end of the season, Herentals Queens are looking strong, having accumulated 59 points from 22 games.

A four-nil win over Sheasham saw the defending champions leap-frogging Chapungu Queens, who were held to a one-all draw by struggling Black Mambas.

Chapungu Queens are second on the table with 56 points, level with third-placed Black Rhinos.

Correctional Queens complete the top four with 55 points, setting the stage for an exciting finish to the season.

The relegation battle is heating up, with Highlanders Royals on 22 points, followed closely by Black Mambas on 18 points.

Newbies Red Buffalo Queens are at the bottom with just two points.

The Women’s Premier Soccer League is reaching its climax, with several outstanding games yet to be fulfilled.
