AS Zimbabwe and Korea continue to strengthen diplomatic relations, the Embassy of Korea in Zimbabwe took its 2025 edition of the Korean Festival to Bulawayo as part of efforts to promote cultural exchange.

It was more than just a festival this Friday, but a captivating trip into Korea’s traditional culture.

The 2025 edition of the Korea Festival was an explosion of both Korean and Zimbabwean culture, indicating the power of the collaboration between the two nations.

The cultural exchange exercise between the two nations is a crucial way of deepening the friendship between Zimbabwe and Korea.

“Today’s keyword for the festival is collaboration. Minister, Mayor, and Governor, these are not just Korean performances, but these are our performances. We are joining hands to celebrate the friendship between Korea and Zimbabwe,” South Korean Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Ambassador Park Jae Kyung said.

The cultural exchange festival exposed both nations to each other’s art, which facilitated knowledge sharing through art, creating the basis for mutually beneficial collaborations.

“We highly value this partnership, and we look forward to its success. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to improving lives. Let’s work together to build a brighter future for our respective citizens. I would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Korean Embassy for hosting the Korean Festival in Bulawayo.

“This event is not only going to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Korea, but also serves as a platform to strengthen the bond of friendship between the two nations,” Minister of State for Bulawayo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Judith Ncube noted.

“I would like to thank the Ambassador of Korea to Zimbabwe for coming to showcase your culture and art,” Bulawayo Mayor, Senator David Coltart said.

The Korean Festival also provided Zimbabweans with an opportunity to engage with Korean culture and foster friendship and collaboration.
