KADOMA-ZIMBABWE joins the rest of the world in commemorating World Blood Donor Day this Saturday, with national events being held at Jameson High School in Kadoma.
The commemorations are being held under the theme, “Give Blood, Give Hope. Together We Save Lives.”
Festivities commenced with a colourful procession through the streets of Kadoma, drawing participation from various stakeholders, including health officials, voluntary blood donors, and community members.
World Blood Donor Day is observed annually to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation and to thank donors for their life-saving contributions.
This year’s theme underscores the collective impact of blood donations in saving lives and fostering hope for patients in need of transfusions.
The commemorations are being coordinated by the National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ) in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, among other stakeholders.
