THE visiting Azerbaijan Members of Parliament who paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda at the Parliament Building in Mt Hampden this Thursday believe the engagement is key in exploring new avenues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Zimbabwe.
Azerbaijan legislator, Honourable Zaur Shukurov noted the need to cultivate inter-parliamentary relations between the two nations.
“We had fruitful deliberations with the Speaker. We want to see what more we can do to enhance cooperation between our two nations. Our parliaments have a lot to share and we should take advantage of our cordial relations. We have discussed areas of cooperation that include education and agriculture. We look forward to working together.”
The visit is part of ongoing efforts by both nations to expand diplomatic and development cooperation through institutional partnerships.
