THE Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier services together with a local church awarded certificates to youths who underwent a digital skills training programme in Harare this Friday.

The training programme, which is in line with President Mnangagwa’s mantra of ‘Leaving no one and no place behind’, equipped young innovators with essential digital skills.

The initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide and foster innovation among Zimbabwe’s youth through different partnerships.

“I am grateful to be part of this programme. I now know how to overcome some of the challenges of the evolving digital world,” a youth said.

The church is happy to help government tackle issues affecting the church.

“I would like to appreciate the Ministry of ICT for collaborating with us to impart digital skills to our youth. This initiative will undoubtedly benefit Zimbabwe’s young generation, fostering innovation and equipping them to navigate the evolving digital landscape,” ZAOGA’s Deputy Secretary General Dr Steve Simukai noted.

By investing in the youth, the Ministry of ICT is paving the way for a brighter future, where young people can leverage technology to unlock opportunities, create jobs, and contribute to the country’s development.
