Govt commends Zim’s business resilience at 2025 Business Expo

THE business community has been praised for its resilience despite local and global challenges, reflecting commitment to the national development agenda under the Second Republic.

Officially opening the third edition of the 2025 Zimbabwe Business Expo in Harare this Friday, Vice President Kembo Mohadi, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in his office Dr Benson Dube, said the resilience by industry and commerce reflects commitment by Zimbabweans to work towards economic progress in line with national aspirations of yearly growth rates of above five percent.

“This annual event serves as a testament to our nations unwavering commitment to fostering economic growth and innovation in all sectors, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for your attendance and for your continued dedication to the development of our beloved Zimbabwe,” Dr Dube said.

“Reflecting on the remarkable journey of the Zimbabwe Business Expo, we recall the vision ignited by His Excellency, President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa, it is his unwavering belief in our potential that has brought us here today.

“The inaugural event that was officiate by His Excellency President Mnangagwa was a bold step forward, and the second edition held in Bulawayo, in March 2024 was a resounding success, it is with great pride that we gather here for this third edition of the Zimbabwe Business Expo, I would like to commend the organisers for their resolute commitment on this trajectory that can only augur well for our country’s economic development.”

Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Deputy Governor, Dr Jesimen Chipika reaffirmed the monetary authorities’ commitment to stability.

“The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe is committed to stability and we shall continue to pursue our tight monetary policy on a bid that will result in Zimbabwe continuity to experience the current gains, together we can create a vibrant business sector that can transform challenges into opportunities,” Dr Chipika said.
