ZANU PF party affiliate members have been encouraged to set a positive example in upholding and promoting the country’s ideological values.

Several organisations, institutions and individuals are taking a significant step in deepening their understanding of the ruling ZANU PF party’s principles and values by enrolling at the Chitepo School of Ideology in Harare.

Teachers for ED and National Organisation for Development and Empowerment are the latest beneficiaries of the School.

“This symposium is of paramount importance to us as teachers for ED because it gives us an opportunity to network with the business community so that we can also start our own businesses,” said a participant.

Another said, “I am happy to enroll at Chitepo School of Ideology because it teaches us to know who we are and what we are supposed to do to promote national development. Our President is always saying nyika inovakwa Nevene vayo and most of the teachings we received at Chitepo School of ideology instills a sense of identity in us.”

“We are also seeing that at Chitepo School of Ideology there is an opportunity to grow as compared to the past. We are being equipped with business ideas which makes us grow as civil servants. They encourage us to venture into businesses rather waiting and complaining . So for me, it was an eye opener to enroll at Chitepo,” said a participant.

Chitepo School of ideology Director of Academic Studies, Retired Colonel Resten Magumise encouraged participants to be torch bearers and embrace the business opportunities being availed by the Second Republic.

“My key message representing the principle of Chitepo School of Ideology is that we are encouraging our teachers to continue to pursue our ideological ethos and our identity. As teachers, they are the torch bearers of the nation, because they have the mandate to educate the people of Zimbabwe from kindergarten to institutions of higher learning. We are imploring them to take advantage of the opportunities being availed by government to start their own businesses.”

The school, named after National Hero Herbert Chitepo, is dedicated to promoting the party’s ideology and equipping citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive national development.

The institution`s curriculum covers a range of topics, including the history of the ZANU-PF party, the principles of socialism and the role of ideology in national development.
