More than 120 beauty queens dazzled in national costumes Thursday night at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant which saw Zimbabwean beauty Sakhile Dube showcasing the country’s tradition and pride.
The road to finding a new Miss Universe queen is narrowing down with the preliminaries held Thursday night set to decide who gets to the semi-finals on Saturday.
126 beauty queens captured the essence of their countries through national dresses.
Zimbabwean beauty Sakhile Dube dazzled guests with a stylish dress ‘The Soaring Eagle’ which she rocked in the national costume contest.
The costume inspired by the Great Zimbabwe Ruins captured the country’s heritage and natural beauty, leaving guests in awe.
The beauties also set the stage ablaze with their swim suit with Zimbabwean Queen putting up a great performance.
To cap the night, the beauty queens paraded in their evening dresses decorating the stage with charm and elegance.
Sakhile showed up with her sophisticated beaded dress which she themed: ‘The Healing light’.
Out of the 126, only 30 will qualify for the semi-finals on Saturday.
