Zim Sables announce lineup for upcoming test against South Korea

THE Zimbabwe Sables have officially announced their squad for the highly anticipated match against South Korea this Saturday.

Head Coach Pieter Benade has introduced a few changes to the starting lineup, with adjustments aimed at enhancing the team’s strength and versatility.

The lineup includes notable shifts, including mid field pairing of experienced centers Kyle Godwin who starts for the first time for the Sables with Vice-Captain Kudzai Mashawi in leading the attack.

Brendan Mudzekenyedzi, recognised for his adaptability, will be at the winger, adding speed and depth on touch along with Edward Sigauke.

Injury concerns have impacted recent selections; however, through a diligent rehabilitation and recovery program, several players have returned to full fitness.

Tadius Hwata, Tafadzwa Nyakufaringwa, and Simba Mandioma, have all been cleared for play after overcoming injury setbacks.

Unfortunately, Godfrey Muzanargwo and Brian Makamure remain unavailable for this fixture due to ongoing recovery.

A significant milestone adds to the excitement of Saturday’s game, with two Sables veterans reaching a career pinnacle.

Captain Hilton Mudariki and Simba Mandioma will each earn their 50th cap for Zimbabwe, a testament to their commitment, skill, and leadership on the field.
