ZIMBABWE’s sprinting duo, Kudakwashe Chigwedere and Tinotenda Bango are geared up to leave a lasting impression at the 2024 Paralympic Games, which get underway this Wednesday in Paris, France.
The 2024 Paralympic Games roar into life this Wednesday in Paris with 4 400 athletes from 184 countries expected to showcase their talent in 11 days.
Zimbabwe will be represented by Sprinters Kudakwashe Chigwedere and Tinotenda Bango who are under the guidance of two-time gold medalist Eliot Mujaji.
Chigwedere will compete in the men’s 100m T47 event next week Friday, while Bango takes to the track the following day.
Team Zimbabwe touched down in France this Monday led by Chef de Mission Masimba Mutemaringa.
“We have a very young team, and these athletes are the future of Zimbabwean athletics. Our objective is to go to the Paralympics, get excited, and experience the global stage. This will be a great pedestal to launch these athletes for a great future,” said Mutemaringa.
The 2024 Paralympic Games run until the 8th of September.
