Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe is happy with the progress his team is making despite playing out to a nil-all draw with Mwos FC in a pre-season friendly match played at Ngoni Stadium in Norton.
Ngoni Stadium was packed to full capacity as Dynamos invaded the small town just outside Harare.
The match started slowly but as with any Dynamos match that did not last long as tensions started to boil up.
The two teams traded some beautiful football and had chances, but none of them managed to take any of the chances.
Dynamos paraded their new signings with Temptation Chiwunga and Ansa Botchways starting as the twin defensive pairing while striker Sadny Urikhob was introduced as a late substitute.
Despite the draw, Genesis Mangombe was happy with the performance.
“The guys executed everything that we were talking about, sadly, we did not get the goal, but we are making progress in the style of play that we want as a team and we need to continue building so that we have a good season,” Mangombe said.
His opposite number Lloyd Mutasa who is a former Dynamos player and coach also lauded his boys as they target to win the Northern Region Division One league.
Said Mutasa, “We failed to covert our chances, but we played really good football against a good team and if we continue with this attitude we can definitely achieve our goals.”
Dynamos will kick off the season with a date against Ngezi Platinum Stars in the Castle Challenge Cup on the 24th of February.
