AMBITIOUS Premier Soccer League side, Herentals are confident of completing a double over defending champions FC Platinum when the two teams meet at Mandava Stadium on Saturday.
The Students shocked FC Platinum one-nil in the reverse encounter with Tinotenda Benza scoring the solitary goal at the National Sports Stadium on the 1st of May.
Saturday’s match promises to be a cracker as the two clubs have a frosty relationship and Herentals have somewhat been a bogey side to the defending champions.
The encounter has also been spiced up by the fact that the two teams are now sharing Mandava Stadium.
Herentals top goal scorer Tinotenda Benza who is having his best season in the league with six goals and seven assists so far is confident of the students’ chances.
“We are targeting a top 3 finish in the league and to win the Chibuku Cup. For that to happen, we need to beat FC Platinum on Saturday, it’s going to be a difficult match as they are the defending champions and Mandava is still their home but we will come out with a win,” said Benza.
The two sides are separated by two points with FC Platinum in fifth with 37 points, while Herentals are two places behind.
