THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested Phillip Mutasa (38) in connection with the robbery and murder of the late businessman, Joseph Mutangadura (67), which occurred at Mutangadura Hideout along Dunstan Road, Ruwa, on August 17, 2025.
In a statement, the ZRP said on October 3, 2025, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Homicide, Harare, received information linking the suspect to the robbery and murder cases.
Following up on the lead, the detectives tracked down the suspect and effected his arrest in Mkoba 6, Gweru.
Upon interrogation, the suspect implicated seven accomplices who are currently on the run.
