THE Young Mighty Warriors will live to fight for a third place at the COSAFA Under 17 championships after being humbled 5-1 by Zambia in a semi-final match played in Windhoek, Namibia this Friday.
Zimbabwe were caught napping and exposed for their shoddy preparations which saw the side troop into camp two weeks before the regional tournament.
After a dozen goal harvest over Lesotho which saw the ladies thrash the Young Dikwena 12-2, the young Zimbabweans lost the semi-final match in what proved to be a difficult fixture for the Lindiwe Ndlovu-mentored side.
Zimbabwe will face Mozambique in a third-place play-off set for Saturday.
