The ZANU PF Mashonaland West Provincial Coordinating Committee met in Chinhoyi this Wednesday and unanimously agreed to expel war veteran Cde Blessed Geza from the party.
This was disclosed by ZANU PF Politburo member, Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi who also said the presidium is solid and united while warning party members of disciplinary action if they violate the party’s constitution.
“ZANU PF leadership is solid,” Cde Ziyambi said.
“President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his two Vice Presidents, Cde Kembo Mohadi and General (Retired) Constantino Chiwenga are united beyond measure.
“There is never a single day when the three ever engaged in a conflict or tension of any kind, but then there are those rogue elements like Cde Geza who want to attribute their opinions to those of the leadership. We will act against those who deliberately violate our constitution to push their own agendas.”
ZANU PF Mashonaland West Provincial Chairperson, Cde Mary Mliswa Chikoka also disclosed that they agreed to expel Cde Geza from the party while national Deputy Political Commissar, Cde Webster Shamu implored party members to abide by the constitution.
“Our constitution is very clear when it comes to issues of indiscipline and loyalty to the party. Cde Geza went against our constitution and today the meeting has resolved to expel him from the party. We are also calling for the stripping of his Central Committee position because his actions are against the party and its expectations from leaders,” Cde Mliswa Chikoka said.
“We are a party of principle and ideology as such we ought to follow our constitution and do exactly what is expected of us. It is never the party’s intention to expel its members but when there is gross violation then action has to be taken,” Cde Shamu added.
The unanimous resolution to expel Cde Geza comes after he denigrated President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and criticised the party’s resolutions adopted at the ZANU PF Annual National People’s Conference held in Bulawayo last year.
