Zimbabwe home-based Warriors started their African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers on the worst possible note after a three-nil defeat by Eswatini in the first leg of the first round in Botswana this Sunday.
The Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Botswana was a tough hunting ground for the Warriors as they succumbed to a three-nil defeat by Eswatini.
The loss leaves the Warriors with a mountain to climb in the return leg, scheduled for next weekend at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga province of South Africa.
The winner of this tie will face Madagascar in the final qualifying round, with the ultimate prize being a spot in the CHAN tournament in East Africa
