TEAM Zimbabwe delivered an outstanding performance at the ICO World Championships in Wales, United Kingdom, claiming an impressive forty-three medals, fourteen Gold, eighteen Silver, and eleven Bronze.
Led by Wilfred Mashaya, the team of eight young athletes showcased remarkable talent, discipline, and determination on the global stage, bringing immense pride to Zimbabwe.
Among the standout performers were Takudzwa Chizema, who earned three Gold and three Silver medals, and Thandeka Moyo, who also secured three Gold and three Silver.
Their achievements underscored the exceptional quality of training and preparation that has come to define Zimbabwe’s growing reputation in martial arts and combat sports.
The full medal breakdown is as follows: Dean Gwatah, one Silver, three Bronze, Takudzwa Chizema, three Gold, three Silver, Anenyasha A.
