HIS Highness Prince Lindani Dlamini of the Kingdom of Eswatini has expressed admiration for the rapid progress at the Museum of African Liberation in Harare, saying the facility has the potential to become one of Africa’s premier tourism attractions once completed.
The Prince, who was wrapping up his visit to Zimbabwe, toured the site to assess development progress and said he was impressed by the transformation since his last visit, when the area was still largely undeveloped.
“I am grateful for the hospitality granted to me during my stay in Zimbabwe, and I am back again to visit the Museum. From the last time I was at this site, it was only a ground, but the level of development taking place has fascinated me. I am happy that we were handed over our site to the museum, which will store our heritage,” he said.
Prince Lindani Dlamini said the project goes beyond preserving liberation history, describing it as a future continental tourism hub with global appeal.
“It is a fantastic project and besides securing our historical legacy of the liberation struggle, we are set to get a remarkable tourist attraction that may even rival the majestic Victoria Falls,” His Highness Prince Lindani said.
He added that the museum could play a key role in strengthening cultural preservation and tourism development across Africa.
The visit also highlighted growing bilateral relations between Zimbabwe and the Kingdom of Eswatini, with cooperation between the two countries continuing to expand across cultural and developmental sectors.
