PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has handed over tipper trucks which were procured under the US$2 million Presidential Youth Fund.

Under the Second Republic, President Mnangagwa continues to walk the talk in terms of availing empowerment opportunities to young people.

Few weeks after launching a US$2 million Presidential Youth Fund, the head of state has handed over tipper trucks to youths to expand income generation across provinces.

“A country is as strong as its youth demographics, so as leaders we always find it important to capacitate our youth. We must empower our youth in order for them to drive and develop the economy because they have the energy and the wisdom. They can only do that when we empower them and this is the process of empowering them and I am very happy that they are doing precisely what we expect them to do,” the President said.

President Mnangagwa said hard and honest work will lead to national prosperity, hence the need to shun all forms of corruption.

Under the Second Republic, young people have immensely benefitted from various empowerment initiatives being implemented by the Second Republic.

The first batch of tipper trucks will go to Bulawayo, Matabeleland South and North provinces, where some of the provinces have already secured contracts with mining companies as part of efforts to generate income.
