Mash Central braces for NASH tourney

MASHONALAND Central Province is preparing to host the National Association of Secondary Heads (NASH) competitions, with the construction of the main stadium for the event near completion.

NASH competitions is one of the biggest events on the schools’ calendar running from the 1st to the 4th of April and Chipadze High School will host the games with preparations already advanced.

The school was selected to host the event for the first time as it runs on a rotational basis with each province playing host once in 10 years.

“We are happy to be having this edition of our NASH competitions this time being held in our public schools. We know that historically these have been held in our former Group A schools, but this time they are being held in public schools so we are happy for such an opportunity to host Zimbabwe. All roads are leading to Chipadze High School,” the school head, Mrs Fortunate Kamupinda said.

The competitions are aimed at showcasing the raw talent from around the nation and at the moment schools are selecting the top performing athletes who will battle for national honours.
