ZANU PF Manicaland Province has recommended the co-option of Presidential Investment Advisor, Dr Paul Tungwarara, into the party’s Central Committee.
The endorsement was made during the Manicaland Extraordinary Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting held this Sunday, where members unanimously supported his inclusion in the ruling party’s top organ.
Dr Tungwarara is expected to fill a vacant post left by Cde Dorothy Mabika, who is now the Provincial Women’s League Chairperson.
The move is in recognition of Dr Tungwarara’s immense contribution to the country’s empowerment drive.
The Presidential Investment Advisor accepted the recommendation, pledging to continue supporting the ruling party’s empowerment programmes.
The recommendation is in line with the party’s constitution, which also states that it must be tabled at the Politburo before the official co-option by the Central Committee.
