MORE than 100 beauty queens from across the world are in Bangkok this Saturday for the final rehearsal of the Miss Universe pageant, a high-intensity session that sets the tone for the main show on November 21.
The rehearsal comes just a day after the swimsuit showcase, and it is where contestants refine choreography, transitions, and overall performance for the global stage.
Among them is Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Lyshanda Moyas, who continues to hold her own as the competition enters its most demanding phase.
Day 16 of the pageant has brought a noticeable shift in pace and pressure, with production teams, choreographers, and camera crews working closely with the delegates to perfect every detail ahead of the preliminaries.
For Moyas, today’s rehearsal is more than routine as she also prepares for tomorrow’s closed-door interview, one of the biggest deciders in the Miss Universe format.
Behind closed doors and away from the public eye, the judges assess personality, intelligence, advocacy, and authenticity.
Pageant analysts often describe it as the moment that shapes the leaderboard.
Moyas goes into this stage boosted by a strong performance during last night’s swimsuit fashion show in Pattaya, where her confident walk and poise drew positive reactions from fans and fellow contestants.
Meanwhile, online voting remains open, and Zimbabweans are being encouraged to continue voting on the Miss Universe app to strengthen her chances of breaking into the Top 30.
As the pageant edges closer to its climax, Lyshanda Moyas stands on a rising trajectory fuelled by momentum, national support, and a determination to represent Zimbabwe on one of the biggest stages in global pageantry.
