WOMEN Premier League side Highlanders Royals kissed goodbye to the elite league after losing 1-nil to city neighbours and debutants Mpopoma Sports Academy at Ascot in Bulawayo.
The loss was a bitter pill to swallow for royals who head back to the unfashionable Division One, although a wake-up call that things are not well at the oldest club, with their reserve side and senior team also in the relegation matrix.
Royals join Red Buffalo, who made it easier for Craneborne Bullets to survive after failing to fulfil their last game, resulting in a walkover score line in favour of Bullets.
Black Mambas were condemned to a 3-1 loss by Correctional Queens to wave goodbye to the Premier League.
