Highlanders Royals relegated after one‑nil loss to Mpopoma Club

‎Story by Mthokozisi Dube

‎WOMEN Premier League side Highlanders Royals kissed goodbye to the elite league after losing 1-nil to city neighbours and debutants Mpopoma Sports Academy at Ascot in Bulawayo.

‎The loss was a bitter pill to swallow for royals who head back to the unfashionable Division One, although a wake-up call that things are not well at the oldest club, with their reserve side and senior team also in the relegation matrix.

‎Royals join Red Buffalo, who made it easier for Craneborne Bullets to survive after failing to fulfil their last game, resulting in a walkover score line in favour of Bullets.

‎Black Mambas were condemned to a 3-1 loss by Correctional Queens to wave goodbye to the Premier League.
