A 32-year-old man from Dzivaresekwa Extension in Harare has appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing charges of robbery, rape and kidnapping following an alleged violent home invasion.
Godknows Wilson is accused of unlawfully entering a residence in Dzivaresekwa Extension on the evening of June 10.
He allegedly assaulted the complainant with a plank before stealing two cellphones valued at US$500.
It is further alleged that Wilson allegedly raped the complainant’s wife in the presence of her husband.
The court heard that after the alleged assault, Wilson reportedly took the woman to an unknown location, and her whereabouts remain unknown.
Wilson has been remanded in custody and is expected back in court on June 30.
