German travel agents who are in Zimbabwe for a week long familiarisation tour have described the Falls as a marvel and a centre of attraction in the region.
The Second Republic is on a spirited drive to engage and re-engage the international community to normalise relations after more than two decades of isolation.
The world is already warming up to Zimbabwe with a group of 40 German travel agents touring the Falls this Monday where they were mesmerised and expressed their joy to the ZBC News crew.
“We have not seen anything of this nature, this is breath taking,” said one agent.
Another said, “We have toured the Falls and we have something to tell our clients.”
“We receive numerous enquiries about Victoria Falls and we are glad to be here. This will enable us to tell a better story,” added another.
“Vic Falls is the centre of attraction in this region, no doubt ” another noted.
Eurowings Discover and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) pledged to market Zimbabwe while highlighting the significance of Victoria Falls in the region.
Eurowings Discover representative Florian Homn said, “We will continue to market Victoria Falls and continue to bring tourists into this destination.”
“Victoria Falls is at the centre of the region and all visitors can easily connect to other countries from here, so this destination is a must visit for all. Zimbabwe is open we call upon more people to visit us,” said ZTA Executive Director International Marketing, Mr Jefferies Manjengwa.
In Zimbabwe, the German travel agents have so far visited Hwange National Park, Matopos and others.
