THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 will be held from June 19 to July 18.

The continental tournament will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, marking a historic collaboration in the East African region.

CAF said the 2027 edition will revert to a mid-year schedule, aligning with the international football calendar and avoiding clashes with major European leagues.

A total of 24 teams are expected to compete in the tournament, maintaining the expanded format introduced in recent editions.

The qualification campaign for the continental showpiece is set to begin during the September international break, as teams across Africa bid for a place at the finals.
