DEFENDING champions, Dynamos are confident of retaining the Chibuku Super Cup despite a below-par season in which they have struggled for consistency.
The Glamour Boys are preparing for a semi-final encounter against Manica Diamonds at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday after yet another below-par season.
The Harare giants who started the season under Genesis Mangombe are now looking up to interim coach Lloyd Chigowe to claim cup glory.
“We always said we are no longer in a position for the championship so I think if we can get into the top four that will be a bonus for us. We have not done very well this season,” Chigowe said.
“We have identified some players. Big money spending teams have been going after our targets, as you know, we wanted Khama, we wanted Obriel, we wanted Walter, but the big boys took them, but definitely we will add some new faces, especially a finisher.”
The Glamour Boys face Manica Diamonds at Rufaro stadium on Sunday, while Simba Bhora clashes with 2023 finalists Ngezi Platinum stars at Baobab on Saturday.
