THE Warriors are confident of overturning the three-nil deficit when they face Eswatini in the second leg, first round qualifier of the 2024 African Nations Championship set for South Africa this Sunday.
Zimbabwe suffered a three-nil defeat in the reverse encounter played in Botswana last week.
The Warriors are using a developmental side for the tournament with the bulk of the players being under 23.
Warriors’ assistant coach Takesure Chiragwi who is leading the side in the qualifiers is confident they will get the job done.
“We did not do much wrong in the first leg and we are confident of overturning the defeat and get a positive result the guys are in good spirit and we believe we are ready for the challenge.”
The technical department has roped in defenders Emmanuel Jalai from Dynamos and Malvern Hativagoni from Ngezi Platinum Stars as well as goalkeeper Martin Mapisa who replaces the injured Donavan Bernard.
The winner between the two sides will face Madagascar in the final qualifying round.
