Bosso Legend Njabulo ‘Popo’ Nyoni dies at 46

FORMER Highlanders and Chicken Inn goalkeeper Njabulo ‘Popo’ Nyoni has died at the age of 46.

Highlanders Football Club confirmed that Ncube died in Bulawayo on Thursday after a long illness.

Nyoni spent the majority of his playing career at Highlanders before joining city rivals Chicken Inn in 2009.

He returned to Bosso in 2014 for a second spell, serving as deputy to veteran goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda.

During a career spanning more than two decades, Nyoni also turned out for Bulawayo Chiefs and several Southern Region Division One clubs.
