THE Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are exploring a strategic partnership to showcase inclusive development initiatives being implemented across the country in support of Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030.
The proposed collaboration seeks to highlight development programmes being undertaken under the Second Republic, which aims to transform livelihoods and achieve upper-middle-income status by 2030.
UNDP is among several international organisations partnering the Government of Zimbabwe in advancing programmes focused on human development and inclusion, climate resilience and environmental sustainability, economic transformation and livelihoods, as well as governance, justice and social cohesion.
The national broadcaster is exploring areas of cooperation that leverage its television, radio and digital platforms to communicate the impact of these initiatives to citizens across the country.
With both institutions supporting Zimbabwe’s national development aspirations, the proposed partnership is expected to promote awareness of programmes advancing inclusive development while highlighting their impact on people, the planet, prosperity and peace.
