ZANU PF says Zimbabwe remains on course to achieve Vision 2030 following Parliament’s passage of the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill, describing the legislation as a milestone in advancing the country’s development agenda.
Addressing a media briefing at the party headquarters in Harare on Monday, ZANU PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa said the country now awaits President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s assent to the proposed constitutional changes.
“The anxiety over the power transition of 2028 is now behind us as a country. All that is left is simply certainty and stability as the people have said they want the President, Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa to continue with the good works that he has been doing. What is left is for the President to now assent to the Constitutional Amendment No.3 Bill,” he said.
The ruling party said the proposed constitutional amendments will reinforce Zimbabwe’s development trajectory and support efforts to attain an upper middle-income economy by 2030.
