BANGLADESH Emerging sealed a 2-0 One-Day International series victory over Zimbabwe A after registering a four-wicket win in the third and final match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Zimbabwe A posted a competitive 298 for nine from their allotted 50 overs, with Innocent Kaia producing a magnificent century to anchor the innings.

Kaia struck 103 runs, while Ryan Burl contributed 50 and Matthew Campbell added 42 to help Zimbabwe A set a challenging target.

However, Bangladesh Emerging successfully chased down the total with two overs remaining to complete the series triumph.

Amite Hasan led the run chase with 80, while Jakir scored 61 and Shahadat Hossain added 54 as the hosts paced their innings well to reach the target.

For Zimbabwe A, Faraz Akram was the pick of the bowlers with figures of three for 42. Tinotenda Maposa and Vincent Masekesa claimed a wicket each.

Bangladesh Emerging had taken control of the series with an 85-run victory in the opening ODI, while the second match was abandoned due to a wet outfield.

Attention now shifts to the longer format, with the opening four-day match between the two sides scheduled for 17 June in Sylhet.
