BEITBRIDGE town held its third edition of the Beitbridge Business Expo on Saturday as the Second Republic continues to stimulate community-based economic growth through the ease of doing business.
Hundreds of businesspeople gathered at Ronnie’s place in Beitbridge this Saturday for the 2026 Corporate and People’s Choice Awards.
“I really thank this opportunity to be here at this Expo because as youths, we are grabbing every opportunity availed by our government so that we can continue growing our Businesses,” an attendee said.
“As businesses, we feel encouraged by this Expo, and this means the community is recognising our effort to grow the country’s economy,” another added.
“I feel really honoured to be part of this Expo. This will encourage me to keep on trying in my business on animal conservation.”
Organisers of the Expo highlighted their appreciation for the government’s efforts in promoting local Businesses.
“As Beitbridge town, we are always looking for collaboration with different stakeholders as we strive to become a city by 2030, and this collaboration has made us realise that we can do more that will also benefit the community. This Expo will unlock markets and create business for the community and the whole country,” Beitbridge Town Clerk, Mr Loud Ramakgapola noted.
“We commend the government of Zimbabwe for its concentrated efforts in the ease of doing business and promoting the formalisation of many companies,” Beitbridge Business Expo Chairperson, Dr Annah Muleya said.
Speaking during the Expo, Vice President Colonel (Rtd) Dr Kembo Mohadi who was represented by Matabeleland South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Honourable Albert Nguluvhe urged the business community to embrace modern technology, with organisers of the Expo appreciating the Second Republic’s effort in business development.
“As government, we appreciate the efforts by the business community in growing the national and as such, businesses should continue embracing modern technology so that they can be part of the global market.”
The Beitbridge Business Expo comes at a time when the Second Republic continues with its accelerated efforts to reduce barriers to business entry and drive economic transformation as the country marches towards Vision 2030.
