ZANU PF team evaluates Chinhoyi University for October conference

A ZANU PF technical team is assessing Chinhoyi University of Technology ahead of this year’s National People’s Conference, scheduled for October.

The inspection is aimed at evaluating the university’s suitability and readiness to host one of the ruling party’s most important annual gatherings.

The delegation is expected to examine key logistical aspects, including venue infrastructure, accommodation capacity, transport arrangements, and catering facilities.

Mashonaland West ZANU PF Provincial Chairperson, Cde Mary Mliswa, is set to brief the team on the province’s state of preparedness and progress made so far.

The National People’s Conference is a major event on ZANU PF’s calendar, bringing together delegates from across the country to review policies, chart the party’s direction, and deliberate on national issues.

Hosting the conference at Chinhoyi University of Technology reflects ongoing preparations by Mashonaland West Province to stage a successful event.

Last year’s conference was held in Mutare, in line with the party and Government’s broader policy of decentralising major national events to promote inclusive development across all provinces.

The rotational hosting model has helped spread economic benefits and infrastructure development opportunities to different parts of the country.
