BOTSWANA President Advocate Duma Boko is expected in Harare this Wednesday for the 5th Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi‑National Commission, where he will co-chair high-level talks with President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

The visit comes as senior government officials from both countries conclude preparatory meetings that began on Sunday, laying the groundwork for enhanced cooperation across economic, social and diplomatic sectors.

The Bi-National Commission is widely viewed as a strategic platform for unlocking investment opportunities and strengthening collaboration between Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Outcomes from the preparatory meetings have already identified key areas of focus, signalling growing momentum in bilateral relations and a shared commitment to deepening cooperation.

Several Memoranda of Agreement are expected to be signed when the two Heads of State meet on Wednesday, marking another milestone in relations between the neighbouring countries.

Meanwhile, President Boko is also expected to officially open the 66th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair during his visit.
