UN delegation tours Chisumbanje ethanol plant in Zimbabwe’s UNSC bid assessment

THE United Nations delegation is at the Green Fuel Ethanol Factory in Chisumbanje as part of its assessment visit to Zimbabwe.

The delegation is in the country to assess the country’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the 2027-2028 term.

The delegation, including envoys from Austria, Liberia, and Vanuatu, is reviewing Zimbabwe’s suitability to represent regional interests, touring key sites.

The delegation has also met with the President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa.
