THE Government’s inclusive development agenda is gaining momentum, with plans underway to establish a disability centre in Epworth aimed at improving livelihoods and access to essential services for persons with disabilities.

The initiative, spearheaded by ZANU PF, aligns with the Second Republic’s commitment to inclusive development and empowerment of all citizens.

Beneficiaries who gathered at Yemuranai Disabilities Centre welcomed the development, noting that the proposed facility will address challenges including limited access to resources, training and support services.

Organisers expressed optimism that the project will bring meaningful transformation to the lives of persons with disabilities.

ZANU PF Harare Provincial Chairperson, Cde Goodwills Masimirembwa, commended the initiative, describing it as a milestone in advancing the second republic’s inclusive development agenda.

“As ZANU PF, we remain committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities are fully integrated into mainstream development. President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa always emphasises the importance of inclusion that is why as ZANU PF, we are in support of this initiative.

“We want people with disabilities to benefit. We are going to establish a vocational training centre so that no one will be left behind in line with the National Disability Policy,” he said.

With such initiatives gaining momentum, the vision of leaving no one and no place behind continues to take shape, bringing renewed hope to persons with disabilities in Epworth and beyond.
