ZIMBABWE’s fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has secured a contract with the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, following an impressive campaign at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The IPL team confirmed this Friday that Muzarabani has been signed as a replacement for Bangladesh paceman Mustafizur Rahman ahead of the 2026 season, which begins on March 28.
Muzarabani has developed a reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s most dangerous bowlers in the shortest format, using his height to generate steep bounce and striking at crucial moments in the innings.
His IPL signing follows a standout performance at the T20 World Cup, where he played a pivotal role for the Chevrons with consistent wicket-taking and tight spells.
The pacer’s contributions were further recognised when he was named in the ICC T20 World Cup Team of the Tournament, cementing his growing status on the global cricket stage.
